Shane McConkey was a pioneer of freekiing. He created the first wide skis and also rockered them, this is when they curve like a banana. This helps the skis float on powder. Shane also mastered backflips off oh huge cliffs(see picture). Unfortunately he died when he tried to base jump off a cliff with his ski and couldn't release his skis in him. He had done this move many times before but in this sport one mistake can kill you. CR Johnson who was also a top skier in the industry that recently died. This sport has lots of risks but is gaining popularity across the world.

Freeskiing
Freeskiing is a new revolution that takes skiing out of racing and competitions. It lets you do anything that is fun to you where ever you want. You use your creativity and are free to do whatever you want.
